Crofters Lodge is a converted farm building adjacent to the Crofters pub and is situated on the outskirts of Barrow in Furness. The beds are huge and comfy, the shower had superb water pressure. The room was large.

Highfield features great lake and mountain views and its own private car park. The beautiful rooms have en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was wonderful. Rooms were clean and cozy.

A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. Great place in the country side, really nice staff and an excellent restaurant.
